8am – 1:30 – Farmers Market, between the After 26 Depot & Lake Cadillac

9am – 3pm - Pork in the Park BBQ Cook Off Cooking, on Lake Street, between Harris & Cass Street

9am – 7pm – Freedom Festival Raffle Tickets #R32134 to WIN a Louisiana Grills Country Smoker, 40# bag of pellets from Positive Chimney, and $100 of meat from Walravens:  1/$5 or 3/$10, drawing at 7pm, July 4th in the City Park!!   (limited tickets, on sale in City Park also Saturday until 5pm)

10am  - 10pm – Kids Carnival in the City Park Parking lot, $10 arm bands/all day per person – supported by FOX MOTORS

10am   -10pm -  Food & Merchandise Vendors in the City Park, along the park/Harris Street

12noon – 12midnight – Beverage Tent (Budweiser) in City Park, must be 21 & older. Benefitting & organized by Cadillac Area Honor Guard

3pm – 7pm – Pork in the Park BBQ Cook-off - Eat/Vote – bring an appetite, vote for your favorite BBQ, $15/5 ribs/vote or $10/4 ribs – both include beans, corn and water. 

4pm – 7pm – Kids Activities in the Park, by Rehoboth Church, Free

8:30pm – Blessing of the Boats, @ the City docks by Rev Joe Hess, Emmanuel Lutheran Church

9:30pm – Fire on Water Military Tribute, @ the City docks by Cadillac Area Honor Guard, Vietnam Vets: Tex Gladding (Past), Jim Helmbolt (future), and Janet Gibson (husband Matt is currently serving) – Remembering what we are truly celebrating this weekend!

Fireworks over Lake Cadillac

7am – 11:30am – Mike Townsend Memorial Youth Fishing Tournament  @ Carl T Johnson Hunting & Fishing Center, register 7am – 8am, fish from 8am – 11am, weigh-in by 11:30am, awards at 11:30am.  Free Tournament, limited entries, prizes.

8am – 5pm – Disc Golf Tournament @ Kenwood Park, Heritage Disc Golf Course, registration 8-9am, 10am - 1st round, 1p lunch, 2pm - 2nd Round, 5pm awards, Freedom Festival discs available

10am – Freedom Festival Parade @ Harris Street to Mitchell, to Pine, to CHS School, $10 donation per entry, staging at 9am

10am  - 10pm – Kids Carnival in the City Park Parking lot, $10 arm bands/all day per person, rides and inflatables generally for kids 2-12 yrs of age – supported by FOX MOTORS

10am -10pm -  Food & Merchandise Vendors in the City Park, along the park/Harris Street

11am – 5pm – Kids Activities in the Park, by Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Free, face painting & kids games.

12noon – 12midnight – Beverage Tent (Miller) in City Park, must be 21 & older. Benefiting & organized by Cadillac Area Honor Guard

12noon – 3:30pm – Thunder on the LakeShore Motorcycle Show, registration starts at 11am @ Harris/Lake, 10 categories, trophies awarded in all categories.  Sponsored by NAPA of Cadillac & Big Rapids

10pm 0ish/ Dusk – FIREWORKS  over Lake Cadillac – East end – largest budget and first time on the 4th in decades!  Thank you to 22 donors for making this a reality this year!

12noon – 3:30pm – Old School Rock @ Lake Street in Motorcycle Show

4:15pm – 5:15pm – Caylie Cobb (15 years old from Traverse City, singer with accompanied CD)

7:30pm – 10:00pm – HEADLINER:   Big Ray & the Motor City Kings – brought to us by an awesome anonymous donor!!

11am – 3pm - Kids Carnival in the City Park Parking lot, $10 arm bands/all day per person – supported by FO X MOTORS

12noon – 2pm – Community Picnic @ City Park, free lunch includes a hotdog, chips & water per person, first come first serve.

Fire on Water Military Tribute

Fire On Water Military Tribute, on the shoreline of Lake Cadillac between the Pavilion and City Boat Launch.   The Cadillac Area Honor Guard presents our colors, readings for all three bonfires, Taps Bugle and thoughfulness.   Bonfire #1 is set ablaze in tribute to our Past Military, Bonfire #2 is set ablaze in tribute to our Current Military, and Bonfire #3 is set ablaze for peace for the future.  This is a peaceful military tribute, please keep children quiet, reduce adult conversation and allow our veterans and current serving best view and seating.  Lawn chairs are highly encouraged.  This event was established in 2011 by Mrs. Joy Liptak VanDrie, in tribute to our military who we often forget have given us the freedom to celebrate this Independence Day.  Gratitude to Cadillac Fabrication, AAR Mobility, the Cadillac Area Honor Guard and friends for helping bring her dream to life.
