Cadillac Freedom Festival

Come relax and enjoy our backyard!

We offer over 300 miles of multi-terrain trails during the spring, summer & fall.  All available to hikers, bikers, and walkers.  Combine our trail system with over 500,000 acres of state and national forest, and three major rivers with two large lakes offering year around world record fishing and hunting.  We are the 'ultimate recreation connection.'

Cadillac offers unique shopping boutiques, three bowling centers, a roller skating rink, a championship ice rink, two full service health & fitness facilities, a 3D movie complex, and mouthwatering cuisine at the many locally owned restaurants around the area.  Add these attractions to a full line-up of festivals and you can spend a fun-filled, or relaxing vacation or conference – either way, come connect in Cadillac, we promise you’ll keep coming back for more.

'Little Mac' pedestrian bridge over the Manistee River

Winter is coming to an end, and the rivers and lakes will fill with melted snow, while the spring flowers pop up in our forests.

Outdoor enthusiasts, GET READY for an adventurous spring after all of this snow.  All three area rivers (Manistee, Pine and Pere Marquette) will be swollen with water, waiting for your fishing, canoeing and kayaking adventures to start.

Lakes Cadillac and Mitchell are almost open, be very careful!   We do recommend making sure you are fully prepared and check in at our local DNR to make sure the area you are planning to be in is safe - high water tables hide many unsafe items.
