Information below is based on the 2013  event,  some  event details will follow after  planned event times have been determined.     2013 Forms will be available to print out soon,  We look forward to a great weekend with you.

     Food and Merchandise Vendors are encouraged to contact Gabby @ 231-775-0657 to have a vendor application mailed out to you, or you can request one through email by emailing gabby@cadillacmichigan.com

 Thursday, July 4

7-9pm Upbeat Cadillac Jazz Concert Series , Rotary Pavilion, free Jazz, Blues, R&B. and a variety of music.

  
Friday, July 5

5-11pm, Beer/Wine Garden (Cadillac Amvets post 110  on Lake Street

*Street Dance   5-9 pm on Lake Street

* New All American Monster Truck Rides  5-9 pm

*6:30pm Cupcake Eating Contest (Megan’s Cupcakes) @ the Pavilion. Registration forms can be picked up at the Cadillac Area Visitors Bureau, 201 N Mitchell St or www.meganscupcakes.com the first 10 entries will be allowed. meganscupcakes@gmail.com

 *9:00 The Patriot Choir Performs The Rotary Pavilion is the site to hear the spectacular sounds of the Patriots Choir.  The Patriot choir is under the direction of Barb Corpe and a host of volunteers. Following their performance they will assist in the Fire on Water Tribute as the Cadillac Area honors their Military Past, Present, and Future.

 

10:30pm/dusk  Fire on Water Military Tribute (Downtown Cadillac Association) respectful tribute lighting to honor our veterans, present military and hope for peace in our future.  Floating bonfires will appear on the shores of Lake Cadillac, between the City docks and boat launch, each lit in tribute to our veterans and troops currently serving around the world. The Waterfire bonfires will float just off the shores of Lake Cadillac beach front to be lit by hand around dusk or 10:30pm.   A ceremony will be held, in tribute to the sacrifices that our citizens have made, and continue to make, in the United States and around the world.

Saturday, July 6  (All Activities Down in or near the City Park)

8am - 2pm Better than a Water Park (Grand Valley State Water Ski Team) Paddle Boards, Learn to Ski Clinic, or enjoy a Lake Cadillac boat ride. Reasonable fee charged.  Located at the City Boat Launch, off Chestnut Street.

9am  Cadillac Freedom Festival Parade  Route: City Park – Mitchell St - Stadium.  Want to be in the parade?  Following the Parade, make your way on to Mitchell St to be a part of the 2013 Community Photo

*10am - 11pm  NEW Pony  Rides, $4 per, at the City park area.

12 Noon - 11pm Beer/Wine Garden (Cadillac Amvets)  City Park.

Food & Merchandise Vendors All Day City Park

* 11- Dusk. Monster Truck Rides (Small fee charged) Held in the Farmer's Market Parking Lot/ North of Library.

11am - 6pm Face Painting, and Hands on Activities for the Kids, by the Emmanual Lutheran Church

11am - dusk Bounce Houses  $3.00 All Day Bracelets Bring the kids and let them have the time of their life bouncing their cares away. Arm bands are good for the entire day.

12 Noon-4 NEW Local Food, Wine, and Beverage Tasting @ Willow Mercantile.  Over 100 samples to choose from.  Willow is located at 916 S Mitchell St, just south of downtown.

12noon - ? VolleyBall Tournament, Cadillac Sands Resort on the west shoreline of Lake Cadillac, www.cadillacsandsresort.com for details and to sign-up

12noon - 3pm,  3nd Annual Thunder On  the Lakeshore Motorcycle Show  Registration starts at 11am, Trophies  awarded 3:00 pm,  Coming in from all over the USA, you will see a wide array of motorcycles at this motorcycle show on Lake Street, and also visit show related vendors. This is a judged show with 10 classes trophies will be awarded, $10 entry fee for all classes.

12noon - 4pm  Chicken BBQ  $6.00/Donation (American Legion Post 94) Menu includes: 1/2 chicken, Potatoe Salad, Baked Beans, and a Roll.

2pm  - Wheels Of Independence Kids Parade, (Toy Town) registration at the back door of Toy Town at 1:00  for line-up.  Registration enters each child 3-10 yrs of age into a drawing for prizes at the end of the parade.  Parade route will take the kids on their wheels or walking feet up to Mitchell Street, along the sidewalk, down the Harris St sidewalk routing thru the City Park by the Fountain and back to the back door of Toy Town for the drawing...   call 231-775-8697 or stop by the store for details.

4pm -6pm Back By Popular Demand - Wrestling Extravaganza, City Park (Universyl Wrestling Enterprizes) Come out and watch your favorite wrestler rule the ring.

TTBD  Dynamite the Clown Bring the kids to enjoy Dynamite the Clown with animal balloons and clown tricks.

*7pm - 10pm  Back by Popular Demand The  Lookin Back Band, a Bob Seger Tribute Band,  Will rock the Pavilion as a   prelude to the fireworks and are certain to rock. Lookin Back plays the entire Silver Bullet Album and is supported again this year through the generosity of an anonymous donor. 

10:30/dusk Cadillac  Freedom Festival Fireworks  The Skies will explode with color as Cadillac's Independence Day Fireworks take place over lake Cadillac.  Thank you to our sponsors, we will see an even   even better show then last year!!

Sunday, July 7

 

11am Community Church Service, Rotary Performing Arts Pavilion (Emmanuel Lutheran Church)

* 12 Noon NEW Blessing of the Boats the first time ever, were asking that anybody who would like to be a part of the Boat Blessing be near the Cadillac City Docks at Noon, Rev. Joel Hess will provide the blessing of the Boats for the upcoming boating season.  Please arrive early.

12:30 - 2pm - NEW Luke Winslow takes Center stage at the Rotary Arts Pavilion to entertain and provide music during the Community Picnic. Luke is a Cadillac Native and has toured the US, see more about Luke  (Sponsored by the the Cadillac Rotary.)

12:30 - 2pm  NEW Community Picnic. The Cadillac Area Festival and Events and Tasty Treat of Cadillac, The Cadillac Winter Warriors, and other sponsors offer you and your family an opportunity for a picnic together in the park.  Picnic will consist of  a hot dog, bottle of water, chips, and Ice Cream. (donations welcome)
