Ice Fishing 101 Classes

Come fish with the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center, located in Mitchell State Park
When: January - 21, 28  & February – 5,11,12,18,19
Meet at the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center
Dress for the weather, we will be on the ice for several hours. You may come and go as you please. We will meet at the center and then walk or carpool to our fishing location. All ages welcome!  We will provide the poles and bait.

Mark Martin Inland Ice Fishing Dinner Discussion Lottery

January 25, 2012, Mark Martin, the Cadillac Area Visitors Bureau and MDNR Mitchell State Park announced the availability for 30 anglers to win the opportunity to join the Ice Fishing Vacation School during their dinner discussion Monday & Tuesday evening, 7pm, at the Carl T Johnson & Fishing Center, Cadillac, Michigan.   The Vacation School is a four day paid ice fishing expedition with Pro Mark Martin, and each student is paired up with staff pros, while outdoor writers join the group to enable them to write about the student learning process throughout the 4 days.

Mark Martin, Mark Brumbaugh & Mike Gofron Inland Ice Fishing Seminar

On January 22, at 2pm at Carl T Johnson Hunting & Fishing Center, Cadillac, Mark Martin, Mark Brumbaugh and Mike Gofron had a Q&A session with a standing room only crowd. This event was a prelude to the 2013 Mark Martin Inland Ice Fishing Vacation School that will be offered on Lake Cadillac and Mitchell next January. Check back this fall for details.
